What you'll accomplish
By the end of this guide, you'll have HireEZ set up to search for passive candidates across LinkedIn, GitHub, professional associations, and 30+ other platforms — finding qualified people who are invisible to LinkedIn-only sourcing.
What you'll need
Go to hireez.com and sign in to your account. Download and install the HireEZ Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store (link provided in your HireEZ dashboard). The extension integrates HireEZ's sourcing directly into your browser — you'll use it to save candidate profiles as you browse.
What you should see: The HireEZ icon appears in your Chrome toolbar after installation. Click it to confirm you're logged in.
In the HireEZ dashboard, click New Project and name it for your open requisition (e.g., "Plant Manager — Automotive — Detroit"). Projects organize your searches and let you save candidate shortlists.
Assign the project to an open req if your ATS integrates with HireEZ (Bullhorn integration is available — check your HireEZ settings). Otherwise, you'll use HireEZ as a standalone sourcing tool and import contacts to your ATS manually.
In your project, click AI Sourcing or Search Candidates. HireEZ's search interface lets you define:
What you should see: HireEZ begins surfacing candidate profiles from across its multi-platform index. Profiles show current role, company, skills, and links to public profile sources.
Tip: HireEZ's AI will suggest additional search terms and filters based on your initial criteria. Review the suggestions — they often catch title variations you didn't think to include.
HireEZ presents profiles with a fit score based on your criteria. Review the top-ranked candidates:
Build a shortlist of 15–25 candidates for a typical permanent search before beginning outreach.
For each shortlisted candidate, HireEZ can pull contact information (email and sometimes phone) if publicly available. You have two outreach options:
Option A — HireEZ outreach sequences: HireEZ has built-in email sequence functionality. Write or use template messages and HireEZ can send automated follow-up sequences to non-responders.
Option B — Export to ATS: Export your shortlist (CSV or direct ATS integration) and manage outreach from your existing workflow (LinkedIn InMail, direct email, cold call).
